Lib Gantt, 82, of Highlands was born June 19, 1928 in Canton, NC and passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, especially Gin Rummy and loved being around her family. She attended Coady Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn D. Gantt; sister, Betty Kersh; and parents, Jess and Edith Cole Swafford. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Robert Kettle of Pearland and Geenee and Bo Parrish of Highlands; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Gantt of Clayton, OK; grandchildren and spouses, Matt and Sara Parrish of Houston, Jessica and Scott Ickes of Mont Belvieu, Edith and Mitch Newton of Huffman, William Rayburn Gantt of Lufkin, David and Sandy Smith of Austin, Kelly and Greg Adams of Santa Fe, Amy and Brian Knight of Alvin and Robin Kettle of The Woodlands; great grandchildren, Aaron Ickes, Emilee Ickes, Beaux Parrish, Reed Parrish, Brittany McMillan, Chloe Gantt, Andon Gantt, Dawson Smith, Shelby Smith, Tylee Adams, Gregory Adams and Abby Knight.
Her family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with grandson Matt Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Adams, Brian Knight, Scott Ickes, Joel Parrish, David Smith and Kenneth Stockwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Chambers, BQ Whitted and Gary Schultz.
