Robert "Bob" Gilmore, Jr. 58, of Baytown was born August 12, 1951 to Robert and Nan Gilmore in East Orange, NJ and passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in Houston, TX.
Bob was an avid bicyclist who enjoyed traveling and playing with his grandson. He retired from ExxonMobil after 35 years of service and working in several countries.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nan Gilmore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Susan Gilmore; daughters; Emily Gilmore, Beth O'Sullivan and husband Stephen; father, Robert Gilmore, Sr.; sister, Sue Mintz; brother, Daniel Gilmore; niece, Erika Orosz and husband Karl; nephew, Zach Mintz; and grandson, Patrick Thomas O'Sullivan.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Turner officiating. Graveside service to follow at Whites Cemetery in Highlands, TX.
Pallbearers will be Stephen O'Sullivan, Jim Mechling, Zach Mintz, Bob Mintz, Daniel Gilmore, Ken Anderson. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jake Martin.
